Goals
The objectives of the training Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Course :
The aim of this training is for students to acquire both the knowledge and skills to work with different types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms
(MEWPs) of different types, so that they can respond to all the risks and risk factors that may arise during the performance of the various tasks.
Specific objectives:
Upon completion of the training, students will be able to:
• Understand the national regulations related to this work equipment in order to comply with the requirements of current legislation.
• Understand the content established by the UNE 58923:2020 standard for MEWPs.
• Understand and promote preventive measures as work habits.
• Be aware of the risks that may arise during the working day due to the driving and handling of this equipment, while learning all the preventive measures to be taken.
• Be familiar with the minimum health and safety requirements relating to the use of personal protective equipment by workers when driving and operating MEWPs.
• Effectively use personal and collective protective equipment related
to MEWPs.
• Reduce costs due to breakdowns caused by improper use of equipment.
