Goals

The objectives of the training PRL course for high and low voltage electrical installation assembly and maintenance work. General, specific and refresher courses. :

Acquire basic and general preventive knowledge that will enable you to apply safe working techniques when carrying out the work units you are responsible for.
Identify which activities, execution systems, materials and work equipment are included in the concept of electrical work units.
Recognise the specific risks inherent in the tasks, work equipment and areas of the specific work unit, as well as knowing the specific preventive techniques to be applied in each case.

Program

A. Definition of tasks:
• Forecasting the needs of different electrical equipment.
• High and low voltage overhead and underground power lines. Transformer stations.
• Substations.
• Industrial and building electrical installation and maintenance.
• Temporary construction site installations.

B. Specific preventive techniques:
• Risk identification
• Job risk assessment (generic)
• Auxiliary equipment (lifting platforms, scaffolding, ladders, pulling machines, braking machines, splicing machines, pulleys, jacks, driver exit trolleys, poles for checking the absence of voltage).
• Work equipment and tools: risks and preventive measures.
• RD 614/2001.
• Manual handling of loads.
• Working at height.
• Collective protection equipment (installation, use, obligations and maintenance).
• Individual protective equipment (fitting, use, obligations and maintenance).
• Materials and products (labelling, safety data sheets, R and S phrases, etc.).
• Use of vertical and horizontal lifelines on different types of anchors and structures.

For who ?

Workers who carry out their activity in companies covered by the Metal Sector Agreement in companies that carry out their activity in construction works.
Prerequisites
Ability to read and write Spanish.
