Goals

The objectives of the training Training in working at height. Module 2 :

• Understand the risks involved in working at height on structures and platforms, learn how to detect them and apply the appropriate preventive measures to carry out the work safely.
• Learn about access and progression techniques with fall arrest systems for working at height on power transformers without fixed protective devices, substation gantries, working on outdoor transformer stations, on metal supports and poles, working on wooden, concrete, sheet metal and lattice supports.
• Acquire basic knowledge and experience in carrying out rescue and evacuation manoeuvres during work at height.

Teaching methods

In-person

Program

Work at height on supports, poles and electricity pylons.
Prior verification of supports and structures.
Collective and individual protective equipment specific to the electrical sector.
Access and progression on:
o Wooden supports and structures.
o Concrete supports and structures.
o Metal supports and structures: lattice towers and tubular towers.
o Other installations.
Positioning and suspended work on:
o Concrete supports and structures.
o Metal supports and structures: lattice towers and tubular towers.
Evacuation and rescue.
Practical exercises.

For who ?

Personnel who carry out various types of work at height in electrical distribution or transmission facilities using climbing or rope techniques.
In order to complete module 2, it is mandatory to first complete the generic module. Exceptionally, the generic module may be validated for those who have completed training of equal or greater duration, in a classroom setting and with content that includes the syllabus covered in the generic module.
