Verification of tanker truck counters

The verification of tanker meters is regulated and requires the control of each meter to ensure the stability of its measurement.
The challenges we face are to ensure the security of data during fuel transactions and to guarantee the reliability of the data through measurement stability and accuracy in accordance with the regulations in force.

What is the

verification of tanker truck meters?

The verification of tank truck meters is governed by Order ICT/ 155/2020, of February 7, as amended by Order ITU/1475/2024, of December 17, regulating the State metrological control of measurement systems in tank trucks for low viscosity liquids (≤ 20 mPa-s).

The verification must be performed by an accredited entity, in a laboratory or on site, and its objective is to verify and confirm that an instrument maintains, since its last verification or after a repair or modification, the metrological characteristics that apply to it.

Apave is accredited by ENAC No. 6/EI653 to perform the metrological verification after repair or modification that requires breaking of seals and periodic verification of meters in service instrument phase.

Verification of tyre pressure gauges

The stability, grip, cornering behaviour and braking performance of a vehicle's tyres must be optimal to ensure maximum safety. In addition, sufficiently inflated tyres can reduce fuel consumption, which is important in view of rising fuel costs. To be sure that the tyre pressure is correct, it should be checked regularly. The gauges we use for this purpose, both analogue and digital, should be checked for errors related to drift, environment, power supply, addition of components to the output loop and other process changes.
