Basic PRL course in the construction sector

Goals

The objectives of the training Basic PRL course in the construction sector :

Acquire the knowledge required to perform basic occupational risk prevention duties, in accordance with current legislation.

Program

TEACHING UNIT 1. BASIC CONCEPTS OF HEALTH AND SAFETY.
1.1. Work and health. Occupational risks. Risk factors.
1.2. Work-related injuries. Accidents at work and occupational diseases. Other work-related illnesses.
1.3. Basic regulatory framework for occupational risk prevention. Basic duties and obligations in this area.
TEACHING UNIT 2. GENERAL RISKS AND THEIR PREVENTION.
2.1. Risks related to safety conditions.
2.2. Risks related to the work environment.
2.3. Workload, fatigue and job dissatisfaction.
2.4. Basic risk control systems. Collective protection measures and personal protective equipment.
2.5. Emergency and evacuation plans.
2.6. Monitoring workers' health.
TEACHING UNIT 3. SPECIFIC RISKS AND THEIR PREVENTION IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR.
3.1. Different phases of construction and their corresponding protections (nets, railings, scaffolding, work platforms, ladders, etc.).
3.2. Construction site implementation. Sanitary facilities, temporary installations, etc.
TEACHING UNIT 4. BASIC ELEMENTS OF RISK PREVENTION MANAGEMENT.
4.1. Public bodies related to occupational health and safety.
4.2. Preventive organisation of work: basic ‘routines’.
4.3. Documentation: collection, preparation and filing.
4.4. Representation of workers. Rights and obligations (prevention delegates, health and safety committee, designated workers, etc.)
TEACHING UNIT 5. FIRST AID.
5.1. General procedures.
5.2. Action plan.
TEACHING UNIT 6. OPERATIONAL AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE. GENERAL CONCEPTS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CONSULTATION CHANNELS.
